DVR can sense and record before & after an accident by means of G-sensor. It records not only image but also driving information such as place, time, speed and GPS information so it can provide a clear log of events in an accident. It can reduce accident rate by checking driving habits e.g. abrupt acceleration, sudden braking, over speed and signal violation by the driver.
